Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation
Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation entered into simulation back in 1972. Since then we have emerged as the world leader in ship simulation. Our range of products includes Ship's Bridge Simulators, GMDSS Trainers, Radar Navigation and ARPA Simulators, Vessel Traffic Management Trainers, Propulsion Plant Trainers, Cargo Handling Trainers, and related Competence Evaluation Systems and Computer Based Training (CBT). All our simulators meet IMO requirements.
The growing importance of distance learning and the adaptation of WEB based simulator training tools has been very extensively addressed by us. We are heavily engaged in developing ideas and products that will take part in the forming of the WEB based environment that will host today's and tomorrow's distance learning capabilities. Thus, early next year we will launch an E-learning portal for maritime education.
Over the past 20 years, we have delivered more than 600 simulators to customers in more than 65 countries. No other company possesses comparable experience in designing, supplying, installing and supporting ship simulators. Our systems are cost effective and up to date, and our deliveries include some of the largest ship simulators built. We are the only supplier offering a complete line of simulation and training systems ranging from E-Learning and Computer Based Training (CBT) to Full Mission Simulators.
Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation is a part of Kongsberg Maritime Ship Systems, which provide complementary service and products to mariners, ship owners, ship builders and maritime institutes and colleges.
We have positioned ourselves as market leader, by being close to our customers. It entails strong and local presence where the action is. With more than 400 highly qualified personnel in our headquarters in Norway and at strategic locations around the world, we are in a position today to offer our customers a standard of availability and service that is second to none.
